A helpful place to start when being a creative is: KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS.

My strength is not typography or painting.  Of course I can see and know what I like and pick out quality lettering, but I don’t have the artistic hand like some people do.

The “some people” I am talking about today is Karisse and Kristel.  Karisse and I go way back to Flagler College where we studied and did ministry together.  Kristel is her younger sister.  This sister-duo now owns an Etsy shop that specializes in canvas art: Anne of Green Gables (oh which I love so much!), Old Hollywood, Quotes, and lovelies that they make custom made for you.

That is what they did for me.  I needed Sebastian’s artwork of his life verse done for his room.  I started trying to do it myself and knew that it wouldn’t turn out “hangable”.  So, I turned to Karisse.  Let me just tell you – the finished product is amazing. My husband and I both love it and can’t wait to get it hung on his nursery wall (which is also the guest room for the next few years – if you want to come visit).

Karisse and Kristel use their creative abilities to make your home, office, nursery, etc a beautiful place – and they have some deals for you – KD316 readers!

oh my word, I love them all! But I love the newspaper one….be yourself! It would look so good in my kitchen with my red and black going on in there! and that is a good reminder to me and my girls!!! 🙂

I am following and I would LOVE to see one with a bird or birds and maybe not scripture but ……”His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me”….a hymn line….and lastly, I follow KD316 and love you!

Oh, my! I love all of Karisse and Kristel’s work. I have forever (or so it seems)! I am so glad that you have set up an etsy shop and want to order as soon as I am not poor anymore. 🙂 I have two faves in the shop right now! One is “Glad to be alive” and the other is “Restored/Renewed”!

But, my all time favorite (so far) is the one that Kim has in this blog!! That verse from Jeremiah is one of my very favorites! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have that one! 🙂

Psalm 37:4,5 – I love this verse in times of struggles

I now follow KD316 on facebook and pretty philosophie on etsy! 🙂

I favorited Pretty Philosophie on etsy (think that’s following?). My scripture suggestion would be one that I just read this morning: Psalm 62. Maybe verse 5: “Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.” 🙂

I now “like” KD316 on FB and I am already following you on Twitter 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway, Kim, Karisse and Kristel!

Wow! What fun work of art! I went on Etsy and like my favorite one and already follow on Facebook. 🙂

I like Darling in Coral / Beautiful but possibly in a different color though the coral is nice. 🙂 It would be nice to hang in our little baby girls room to be a reminder as she gets older that she is made in the image of God and is beautiful.

I would love to see several scriptures but one is
Colossians 3:17 “And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Joshua 24:15 “Choose this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

Psalm 23 would be great as well but that might be too long.

Ok, so there were several suggestions…
The word is filled with so many promises, blessings and reminders that with their designs and creativity, Karisse and Kristel could do so much and impact lives through their gift.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

    1. I liked the Restored and Renewed/ Audrey Hepburn Quote. The background is fun and it is true – we all need to be those things and reminded of that for those around us.

    2. I made them a favorite on etsy, did not see them on FB.
Luke 18:27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”
Also love Colossians 3:17 as seen above (I guess verses 12-17 would be too long).

    3. I already follow kd316.
