Bless Mommy Photo Sessions

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching.  And what Mom wouldn’t want an evening to get a pampering package and have a photo shoot done?  To get clothes on that aren’t spit up on, dusty from cleaning the base boards, or have grass stains from cheering for their favorite baseball players?  Or maybe grease stains for cooking aren’t really her thing?

What better gift than a photo package?  In the month of April and May, I have 4 slots for your favorite mother to get pampered.

She’ll receive:

An hour photo shoot on location of her choice (in Little Rock)

3 printed photos of her choice

CD with 20 edited photos

A gift bag featuring some local Arkansas goodies that will help her feel pampered and special.

Flowers.

Cost?

$60 for everything listed above.

Are you in?  Do you want to get this for your wife/mother of your children?  Do you want to ask for this from your husband?

As a mommy of two young ones myself, I look forward to making you feel special as a Mommy with beautiful photos and some extra-special goodies.

I got to know Kathie when we took a short road trip down to Fort Worth, Texas for a photography workshop given by Casey and Kristin.  It was a fun short trip a year ago this weekend.  Meaning…it was missions weekend last year and this year is the missions weekend at our church.  How timely!

Last weekend we got to head out to Two Rivers park here in Little Rock, just minutes from our home, on a gorgeous evening about dusk time, and take some photos of her with her love.  Thanks Richard and Kathie for letting me share your lives with my readers!  It was a joy taking your photos!

Marshmallows.  You normally don’t think of the gooey sugary treat as being something that will bind friends together.  But, before I met my husband, I made marshmallows from scratch for the first time and put it on my blog.  When we came to Arkansas in view of a call for our church, Gina, the wonderful spunky lady in these photos, came up to me and said, “I think we are going to be friends, you make marshmallows.”
And yes, we are friends, and love to make marshmallows together.  Thankful to her and Brad, their story, and the Shoe – all their children that God has blessed them with.  For these photos we went to downtown Mabelvale, the booming metropolis, and enjoyed the trees, benches, church, bbq joint, and a set of railroad tracks.

Thank you Gina & Brad for letting me share your life with my readers!

Where: Little Rock, AR

Cost: 50$

What that includes: 45 minute photo shoot, CD of 15-20 edited photos

Thanks to Groupon and splurging on the benefits of the Christmas season, the Mister and I gifted ourselves with 2 nights away this past December.  What a delight and may become a tradition for us.  It is a busy season in ministry and it is a perfect time to getaway with your love.

One of the nights of our getaway we stayed in a sweet bed and breakfast.  Forget the tuille and Victorian everything – no, this one was more our style: relaxed and delicious and quiet.  We loved the food, the location (even though it was cold), and the comfy room.  In some bed and breakfasts, the food doesn’t live up to reputation: but this one left nothing to be desired.  We broke fast on a delicious pineapple and pomegranate salad then feasted on herbed potatoes and a Monte Cristo that was perfectly cooked.

Our first floor room was complete with a deck that led out to the lake and a shower that I would love to have in our master bath at home.  There was a library to “checkout” books and seats throughout the home that would invite you to sit and stay for hours.

I long to go back there in the warmer months to enjoy the lake: the birds, the canoe, and the sun and swings.

Thank you Lookout Point!  It was delightful!

Winter in the Sunshine State

posted in: photo shoot | 0

The past two weeks the Mister, boys, a nanny, and I were in the Sunshine State. I grew up in Lakeland, which is in the middle of the state. While the Mister was in class all day, my friend, the boys, and I toured the Orlando metro area, went on walks in the sunshine, took great love in the beach and ocean. Then over the weekend we visited friends and traveled from St. Augustine to Miami Beach all in one weekend. We snuck in a trip to Downtown Disney and hit some great letterpress shops in the area. I did almost everything I had planned to do, but also some that I didn’t want to do (like gain weight). Enjoy some pictures that I took while we were there. I do love the Sunshine State.
St. Augustine Beach

This was taken on a cold Friday dusk near 4th Street on St. Augustine Beach.

We hit up Hontoon Island and Blue Springs State Park and this is clearly a picture of some of my fave trees in the Sunshine State.

I stopped by two favorite Letterpress stores in Winter Park: Rifle Paper Co and 9th Letter Press.

Here are some of my other favorites from around the state. Enjoy. And if you get a chance – go visit the Sunshine State in the dead of winter – its a nice breathe of fresh air!

Truly Families: The Cranford Family

I love getting to know families: how they interact, how they laugh, how they love!  This family is no different.  It was a cold day here in Little Rock the day that we had scheduled photos.  Their kiddos were troopers.  I loved how the parents stayed calm and peaceful in talking with their children even in fussy times.  It was a blessing to see.  And to photograph!

life together: the isaacson girls

Sisters.  Sisters.  There were never such devoted sisters.

S and A and their mom Jennifer are such sweet dear people.  Jennifer and I go way back (to her middle school days) and I love the fact that me and my son get to be a part of their lives.  For this session we were in Palm Coast, FL at Princess Place Preserves – never been there, want to go back.  It is such an old Florida place – trees, moss, water, not a bazillion tourists around!  Then we trekked back to St. Augustine and had lunch at her parent’s place and played on the beach with the seagulls!

Such sweet time!

Hey folks.

As I am in a new season of life, i would like to use my photography skills for means of blessing other people.

So, please take a look at my photos – whether here or on Facebook – and let me know what I can do for you.

I can print notecards – they come in a pack of 24 for $25 and that comes with pretty packaging.  They can be personalized on front or back with scripture, name, or anything else you may want.  If you don’t want them personalized they can come in smaller quantities, again with prices varying.  Check out some ideas under the tab Snail Mail Happies

You can order a print which will be varying in prices depending on what you want (canvas, size, etc).

These make great holiday gifts or hostess gifts.

If you are in Little Rock and would like to do a photo shot – maybe for your holiday cards or for Christmas presents for family members: it is $50 a session and you get the CD and rites to all the photographs.

There you have it!  Now, I just need to get an Etsy page going and a FB page going!
